I’ve been a client at Smiles By Design since Dr. Lazaar took over the practice (at least 10 years now I imagine?). In that time she’s moved into a new state of the art office, and has continued to have a wonderful staff of hygienists. Dr. Lazaar is incredibly good at what she does, but more importantly to me, she has always walked me through the science of what was happening and how to prevent it from happening again. I used to need a yearly cavity filled, but after she took over haven’t had many issues. She highlights dental care and prevention as much as identify and fixing and problems. On year she noticed the start of a couple new cavities and instead of drilling and filling them, she put me on a special toothpaste that allowed the Newman to remineralize naturally before it got to the point of no return. I’ve lived in NYC the past three years and have looked for a local dentist but have not found one as professional, trustworthy, and good as Smiles by Design. It’s for these reasons (and many others) that I make an effort to go for a cleaning every time I’m in California. They always find a spot for me no matter my schedule or the short notice!

I love Dr Maye Lazaar and her entire staff! She treats my whole family. My grandchildren love seeing her as well because she creates a warm and safe space for everyone. They are well prepared to deal with Covid and, as usual, her entire staff is wonderful.
